Have you tried changing the softwares preset from J to s and back again? Both the throttle and stick show in Game controller and all the axes show inputs. Thanks for those that helped. Missing throttle axes for DCS/X56. His image has the throttle handle behind the base currently rotated such that the mechanism is all the way 'up' in the image, and kind of hides one of the wiring bundles coming down from controls in the throttle itself.

Since when they Saitek ? (Recently I thought I had an issue again with lingering forward thrusters - not main throttle - that was screwing up my landings since I was creeping fwd at 6....forgot I'd remapped one of the ministicks to add fwd/back to my usual left-right-up-down (joystick hat) in landing only mode, and the little ministick needed a deadzone. Yeah none of the axes on the throttle are registering in the utility or DCS. I love only that which they defend.

I never had a strong urge to use the mode switch as I can't really think of a reason that it would be better than simply setting a modifier in-game.

The X56 itself is recognized by MSFS 2020 and both joystick and throttle along with many of the buttons and one mini-joystick are already pre-mapped automatically.

Yeah I noticed it happening most when I'd nearly be at zero or max, making me think I was pinching wires, but it only really happened when moving to those positions...once it was just sitting at zero the randoms wouldn't keep triggering.

So, basically I just live it with in E:D and just haul-ass if I go into silent-running while staring down the cannon barrel of a pirate. Since the X56's throttle and stick each have a USB connection, it is important to get into the habit of plugging either the stick or the throttle in consistently.

I can't make one cause i don't know what everything does but i think that if i get the profiles that i should be able to figure out what does what. The problem I have is that in DCS, the throttle axes do not show up in any module.

When you're doing all this you might have to break the little yellow glue-gun lines to pull a bundle loose, then again I think I only did that when I completely dismounted the throttle handle and cracked the top too.

Then, in DCS, it should automatically do your zoom for you. If not; are they just not registering in the utility or at all?

Unfortunately solder joints from this manufacturer are not to be trusted, so I would really go beyond a visual inspection and move straight to that multi meter continuity and resistance check. The 2 POT wire sets are obvious - red/white/black only from either pivot point of the throttle.

After I went through the rest of its setup, I opened the X56 software and the joystick axes are recognized, but all the throttle axes (Throttle 1, Throttle 2, Rotery 1-4) don't register. I have both the throttle and stick plugged in when I did this. The wiring from one of the two pots is rather close to the one harness that goes from the panel switches I was seeing the most harrassment from connects to the main board (will try to post image from the youtube vid, sorry I didn't take any pics of my own), and since those are the only real 'axis' on the throttle aside from the small thumbstick they're the only real source of a voltage or current swing I can think of.

That usually works for me!
